The Joys of Sodomy: Kings of Joy debut performance

In a one-horse town somewhere west of Orange, a mini oasis sprung up from the dusty ground. A cherry farm. Isolated from the nearest town, you can only drive there and once you stopped, you stayed. 

Picking cherries is a sport for the hard worker. It attracts backpackers and farmhands from around the world. In this melting pot of sweat and personalities, an unlikely gang forms.

Local worker, Cherry Packer is a dreamer. He dreams of being free to be himself. He dreams of a world where people can be 100% at home in their own skin, a world where people can express their gender and sexuality unabashedly and without fear.

A Bang, a hip and happening podcaster has a popular following in a true crime podcast. In a challenge from one of his listeners, he is sent on a mission to the very heart of a protest crime about to be committed in this one-horse town. In a twist of events, he discovers how truly passionate he is about freedom and the lengths he will go to surprise even himself.

Jackson Apples is the heart of this gang. Obsessed with breaking and entering houses, his choice object to steal is apples. He sees it as his signature, his mark, his calling card if you will. Will you notice that there are apples missing from your fruit bowl? He brings the skills and the know-how.

Boy Pussy works as a handsome chauffeur giving his clients the full treatment. From rock star car parks to wild passionate sex in the back of his limousine, he is always fully booked. He knows how to drive a car and has thrown his hat into the ring along with his getaway vehicle.

Together, this unlikely band of misfits concocts a plan that will leave a mark in the dusty streets of this one-horse town. In protest of the oppressive nature of the patriarchy, our heroes gather in the town square and pull down the local statue of… whom? And to reveal their love of… what?
